Denim and Lace Upcycled Dress

The Denim and Lace Upcycle Project was a draping 2 Project. The denim was new yardage, but the lace was found at the school as it was a donation.

For this upcycle project I was drawn to the sailor collar.

The bodice was underlined with silk organza down to the waist.

I treated the lace like piping as I stitched it into the seam. I was careful not to stitch the lace into any hems to avoid bulk.
